We know it’s a positive thing, but how do you describe it exactly❔
The simplest definition for us is: practice for training your attention.
If we pay more attention, we will feel, experience and get more of each moment. And isn’t that what life is all about: rich sensations, thoughts and emotions❤️
We often get lost in thoughts about the future and the past, while missing the present moment. ‘Present is all we have’ wise people say. Yet, we get immersed in the past or the future, which usually creates stress.

Someone defined mindfulness as ‘𝔹𝕖𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕤 𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕣𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕨𝕚𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕕𝕚𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥’.
💮 This will allow us to enjoy the present, without thinking and anticipating its inevitable change. It will also help us bear the unpleasant, knowing it is just another fleeting moment in life.
There are two main ways to practice mindfulness: formally, through meditation, and informally, by bringing it into our everyday lives. And like most good things, it comes at a cost: you have to make a commitment to practice it daily, as a way of being. Here you will find a few tips to help you integrate it in your everyday life.
1️⃣ Be curious, playful and non-judgemental
2️⃣ Doodle or use a colouring book
3️⃣ Take a walk in the park and look for patterns in nature
4️⃣ When meditating: focus on your breath; it reminds us of the present moment where it exists;
Follow the flow of your day and discover your inherent creativity by exploring the events that occur to you. Even the most mundane tasks can serve the purpose: look at them with fresh eyes, do them differently. Even the seemingly pointless exercise of doing something with your non-dominant hand will bring more mindfulness in this moment✨
